Placed a takeout order an hour before we wanted to pickup. Arrived to find people at four tables, all with their food. Despite this, and nobody else waiting for takeout, our order wasn’t ready for 25 minutes. The food was good, but the service wasn’t. Not the first time we had a problem, just the first time I’m posting

This is a great casual place with fresh and tasty menu options to enjoy with friends and family. The bar adds a fun touch if you're in the mood for a drink or two during your dining experience.

Great spot in Summit for tacos. We tried the queso birria, barbeque beef, and the shrimp pineapple. All were very good. Our favorite was the queso birria. It was delicious! The shrimp pineapple was spicy and very good! Enjoyed my mezcal mule as well. I would definitely come back.

It's a small place and usually crowded. Drinks are pricey but the food prices were reasonable, although the portions are small as well. The Carnitas bowl was just okay. Everyone enjoyed their food, but no rave reviews.

Getting out on NYC on our way to PA and needed to get some food, stopped in the really nice town of Summit NJ and enjoyed some fantastic birria tacos, cauliflower tacos, guacamole and drinks. Staff was very friendly and quick. Nice atmosphere, clean and kept up, nice bathrooms and nice background music streaming. I only wish I had one of these in my back yard.

Great food! Each taco has a great Smokey flavor, and the chips & guacamole are delicious!! I wasn’t too crazy about their salsa though. Food is at a higher price point but you can tell the quality is there. Ceviche was great too, and I can taste the freshness without the taste of sugar added since most places do add some type of sugar. Overall I would recommend this place and I can’t wait to try the drinks very soon!!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. We happened to stumble across this place and are already planning our next visit. When we arrived, Bar Bacoa was in the middle of Happy Hour (4-6 pm every day). Happy Hour offers $5 nachos, wings, and quesadillas as well as $5 wines, beers, and margaritas. Our server, Chris, was phenomenal. He explained to us all of the deals and anticipated all of our needs. He was friendly and professional. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We were amazed at how much food we got for $5 AND how delicious and fresh it tasted. Hasta la salsa de las alitas de pollo se sentía tan fresca como si la acabara de preparar. The wings also came with a small side of pickled carrots and cucumbers which seemed so freshly pickled - not preserved. It’s clear that this restaurant pays great attention to even small details. Nearly everything was gluten free with any gluten-containing items clearly marked. They even offered gluten free quesadillas, which are not something I often find. Many vegetarian options were also labeled on the menu.
